Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nurse position is located in Seattle. The role involves providing high-acuity patient care in a critical care setting, with a focus on the ICU unit. The position requires specialized skills and experience in managing critically ill patients, utilizing advanced equipment, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Washington (WA) or Compact licensed Registered Nurse (RN) license; BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS (American Heart Association) certifications; at least 2 years of ICU experience; EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system experience; prior floating experience across various units including Critical Care, Observation, Med Surg, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care; ability to titrate drips such as Epi, Norepi, Dobutamine, Propofol, Esmolol, Hydromorphone, Midazolam, CIS.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in high-acuity environments with staffing ratios of 1-2 depending on acuity; familiarity with monitor tech duties; comfortable with ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP equipment; team-oriented, adaptable nurse capable of self-scheduling; flexible to work 3 weekend shifts per schedule and holiday coverage as required.
• Additional Information: The unit includes a float pool covering Critical Care, Observation, Med Surg, and other high-acuity units with a focus on cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients. The charge nurse manages assignments; self-scheduling is permitted. Orientation includes hospital general orientation, module completion, Cerner validation, and on-unit ICU shifts. No call or standby required.
