Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Walla Walla, Washington. This role involves providing perioperative recovery care in a busy PACU environment, with responsibilities including assessment, monitoring, and patient discharge procedures. The position offers a nights shift schedule and requires dedicated clinical expertise to ensure patient safety and comfort during post-anesthesia recovery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state RN license, at least 1 year of clinical experience, certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS, and experience with Epic charting system.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous PACU or post-anesthesia care experience, experience in a Level III trauma or acute care setting.
- Float: Pre and post anesthesia care unit float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The role involves caring for patients across different age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The unit supports diagnostic procedures such as colon/EGD, neuro, orthopedics, and more, requiring familiarity with specialized equipment like Davinci and Mako systems. The assignment begins on 09/08/2026 and requires working three of the five major holidays. Candidates must have at least one year of recent relevant experience and a valid compact RN license in hand. References covering the last three years are required.
