Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Floor - Johnson City, NY. This position requires a dedicated RN to provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population with a focus on stroke, neuro, and cardiac telemetry patients. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring compliance with all standards of practice and maintaining a patient-centered approach.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12 nights per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, every other weekend.
• Required Qualifications: Nursing (RN) experience of six (6) months to three (3) years; management experience of zero (0) to three (3) years; five plus (5)+ years of direct experience; collaboration, communication (verbal & written), judgment/critical thinking, organizational understanding, planning (organizing, time management), problem solving, quality, reliability, safety and risk management.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
• Skills: Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Certifications & Licensure: Current NYS RN License; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross); relevant skills certification (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by the home unit.
• Additional Information: The role involves managing telemetry patients, reading rhythm strips, and caring for post-stroke patients, with occasional responsibilities involving syncope, hyper/hypotension, and vascular surgeries.
