Description

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room nurse position is located in GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, providing health teaching, counseling, and therapy to support patient well-being. The position emphasizes autonomous practice within the scope of clinical expertise, with potential for department float and on-call responsibilities.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/07/2026
  • Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited school of nursing; current RN license in the state of practice; certifications including BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, NIHSS, and ENPC preferred; 1+ years of nursing experience required
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing; previous ER nursing experience preferred
  • Skills & Experience: Nursing care, health data assessment, health teaching, health counseling, therapy and treatment planning, clinical documentation, resource utilization, patient referral, treatment plan monitoring
  • Education: ASN required; Bachelors degree preferred
  • Certifications & Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice; BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS certifications required or preferred as applicable
  • Additional Information: The role may require float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications; may involve on-call duties during scheduled shifts
