Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position in Research Medical Center. The role involves providing specialized care for adult patients, with a preference for candidates with burn experience, in a dedicated, multidisciplinary burn ICU/PCU environment. Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience in ICU or PCU, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIH certification preferred but not required.
• Responsibilities include performing debridement, dressing changes, line insertions, chest tube maintenance, and post-operative care on a mixed acuity adult patient population.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC required; NIH certification and ABLS preferred.
• Procedures performed on unit: Debridement, dressing changes, Line insertion, Chest tube insertions and maintenance, Post-op procedural care.
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrub top, navy blue or black scrub pants, scrub jacket. No T-shirts, hoodies, or sweatshirts allowed.
• The unit operates with a strong multidisciplinary team, including a dedicated burn surgeon and advanced technology such as GE cardiac monitoring equipment and Meditech documentation system.
• This position requires adherence to unit-specific policies and guidelines, including bedside shift reporting and patient-centered care.
