Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurses are needed in a facility located in Kansas City, Missouri. This role involves providing specialized patient care within a 16-bed unit that manages neurological and cardiac conditions, with a focus on stroke and telemetry. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment utilizing advanced equipment and protocols to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in NIHSS, ACLS, and BLS; experience with cardiac drips, telemetry, and neurology; no minimum experience required besides the positions scope; located in Kansas City, MO
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in stroke and telemetry units, familiarity with hospital policies and procedures, and experience with advanced cardiac and neurological patient care
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other areas where competency has been demonstrated, depending on agency and contract policies
• Additional Information: The unit features new equipment such as Welch Allyn blood pressure machines, Hoyer lifts, telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, and Doppler devices. The staff is highly engaged, with a focus on maintaining a positive working environment and leveraging advanced technology to improve patient care.
