Job Details

• Position Description: The role involves caring for post-surgical patients, with a focus on orthopedics, general surgery, and neuro populations. Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is a bonus. The shifts are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a schedule of 36 hours per week, and guarantees are available for 36 or 48 hours. Overtime is not billable until after 48 hours.
• Required Qualifications: BLS certification via AHA, RN license in the state of employment or a compact license, at least 1 year of experience in a similar clinical setting, and the ability to work night shifts.
• Responsibilities: Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitor for side effects and effectiveness, and document patient information thoroughly. Educate patients, families, and caregivers, and collaborate with care teams to meet clinical needs.
• Schedule: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Floating may be required to other units based on staffing needs. The patient-to-nurse ratio is approximately 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing levels.
