Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in an announced facility. This role involves providing quality patient care, supervising licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. The position requires an initial assessment of patients, collaborative care planning, and active participation in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; Bachelor's or Associate degree in Nursing; at least 1 year of bedside clinical experience; experience in a progressive care or similar setting; current BLS certification prior to first shift; ACLS certification (if applicable to CIRH).
• Preferred Qualifications: ICU experience or skills suitable for a long-term acute care hospital; previous experience with the organization; proven competency in patient assessment and safety protocols.
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, develops individualized care plans, and participates in team conferences. Responsible for accurate documentation and patient education, initiating discharge planning from day one, and ensuring effective communication among care team members. Provides direction to ancillary nursing staff and participates in team-building efforts to foster a positive work environment. Assumes charge responsibilities after orientation and actively pursues ongoing professional development.
