Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Los Angeles, CA. This role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in the Labor and Delivery department, adhering to established standards of care and the nursing process. The position includes supervising and directing nursing staff activities, coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams, and utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN), Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from an approved vendor, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor, Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Acute care facility experience.
- Additional Information: Responsible for assessing patient data, developing and implementing care plans, coordinating discharge planning, and collaborating with team members to provide a safe and healing environment. Ensures compliance with organizational safety and vaccination policies. Participation in E-Verify required. EPIC experience is required.
