Description
Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves providing specialized care for neonatal patients, with opportunities to float between units, including pediatric units under the age of 2. The position requires a commitment to night shifts, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license; at least 1 year of experience as a registered nurse; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); experience with neonatal patient care, including management of ventilators, PICC lines, and neonatal assessments; proficiency in charting with Epic electronic medical record system; experience working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in level II trauma or pediatric trauma center; familiarity with complex neonatal procedures and equipment; demonstrated ability to float across units and handle pediatric patient populations under age 2.
- Additional Information: The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, with expected patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3. Candidates should be prepared to work variable weekends and holidays as scheduled, with 24 hours of orientation. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, radiology, and social services.
