Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position is located in a critical access facility. The role involves providing compassionate and efficient patient care in a unit that supports adult and geriatric patient populations. The RN will float between units as needed, following a schedule of night shifts, and will be responsible for delivering quality nursing services in accordance with hospital standards and protocols.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license; at least 1 year of recent experience in medical-surgical care with telemetry; certifications including ACLS and BLS; experience with charting systems such as Epic; experience managing ports, blood products, chest tubes, IVs, and non-invasive airway management; familiarity with dysrhythmia interpretation and management; ability to float between units and hospitals; valid compact license preferred; located within a 50-mile radius.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in community hospital, LTAC, or trauma-level units; experience with surgical patient care, wound vacs, and infection management; trauma level I or II experience.
- Additional Information: Candidates will be expected to work a flexible schedule including 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day). Must have at least 1 year of recent clinical experience and provide two references covering 1 year of employment in the last 3 years. The position requires working paired with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Applicants should be prepared to float between hospitals and must comply with facility policies regarding background checks and staffing requirements.
