Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse - Nights, with a facility located in the region. This position involves providing specialized care to obstetrical patients during night shifts, supporting high-risk deliveries, labor, and postpartum care. The role requires a qualified healthcare professional to deliver compassionate, comprehensive maternity care aligned with clinical standards and safety protocols.
Job Details
- Position Description: L&D Nights. Option of 36 or 48 hours. First-time travelers are welcome.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications acceptable). Minimum of 2 years of experience related to labor and delivery, including antepartum, labor, and postpartum care, with proficiency in external fetal monitoring and high-risk delivery support.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk pregnancies, c-section assistance, and use of external fetal monitoring.
- Additional Information: The role involves working with a patient census of 100-200 deliveries per month, with responsibilities including assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, managing insulin drips, and maintaining sterile procedures. The position requires float within scope as needed, with a short orientation provided, and lab work within 48 hours of contract start.
