Description

Job Summary:
Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) Registered Nurse position in an acute care setting. The role involves circulating cases in a busy cath lab environment, including administering medications and sedation, and monitoring patients throughout procedures. The schedule consists of Monday through Friday shifts from 0700 to 1730, with on-call responsibilities, providing an opportunity to work with a variety of cardiac, interventional radiology, vascular, structural heart, and electrophysiology cases.

Job Details:

  • Location: Not specified, but within an acute care facility environment.
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The work period begins on 09/21/2026 and concludes on 12/21/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, BLS and ACLS certifications through the AHA, minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, and experience working in cath lab or interventional cardiology environments.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EMR systems, particularly Cerner, and familiarity with hemodynamic charting and specialized equipment such as Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, laser atherectomy, rotablator, angiojet, FFR, IVUS, OCT, C02 angiography tools.
  • Responsibilities: Circulating during procedures, administering medications and sedation, monitoring patient stability, and assisting with complex interventional cases across multiple specialties.
  • On-Call Requirements: Typically 7-10 days per month, including weekends, with a 30-minute response time. Call shifts occur from 1730 to 0700 and may include holiday coverage.
  • Additional Information: The cath lab team may not usually float to other departments but could do so in case of hospital census or staffing needs. Hospital provides scrubs, and orientation includes one day hospital orientation plus two days department-specific training.
  • Shift Notes: Regular shifts are Monday-Friday from 0700 to 1730, with additional call shifts as scheduled.
