Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Aurora, Colorado. This position involves providing comprehensive emergency nursing care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality patient care and effectively handle emergency situations.
Job Details
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications; at least 1 year of current acute care hospital emergency department experience; located in Colorado or willing to travel to the area
- Preferred Qualifications: Level 11 Trauma experience, stroke care experience
- Additional Information: The unit is a 50-bed Emergency Department staffed with 68 team members, including registered nurses and emergency medical technicians/medics. Typical patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:4 or 1:5, with utilization of EKG machines, cardiac monitors, and blood glucose equipment. The team works with Meditech electronic medical records, and the unit values energetic, collaborative personalities with strong communication skills. The unit may utilize new equipment or technology, and staffing options are designed to support scheduling flexibility.
