Medical Surgical Oncology Floor in a metropolitan healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized medical and surgical care to oncology patients, with an emphasis on comprehensive patient management within a fast-paced environment. Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in medical-surgical nursing or oncology nursing, relevant education or degrees, and 0 years of experience are required
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with oncology and medical-surgical procedures is preferred
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The unit has 12 beds, with staff typically consisting of 2-3 registered nurses and 1 patient care technician per shift. The team primarily manages oncology and medical-surgical patients, performing procedures such as chemotherapy administration and patient assessments. The typical staffing includes a charge nurse, RNs, and CNAs or sitters. The unit utilizes Meditech electronic medical records. Staff are expected to adhere to unit policies, dress in Methodist navy blue scrubs, and operate within a collaborative team. Rotation to comparable units may be required, and weekend and on-call rotations are part of the scheduling.
