Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a 26-week contract begins on 09/28/2026 in a 1000+ bed medical center. The role involves providing surgical nursing care in a Level 1 trauma setting, supporting a wide range of service lines including transplant, trauma, neuro, orthopedic, gynecological, urological, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, and hybrid procedures. The schedule consists of 12-hour day shifts, with a commitment of at least 36 hours per week, and travel is required to support staffing needs. The individual must have prior travel experience and a minimum of 2 years of OR experience, with scrub certification on file at the time of submission.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid OR certification, at least 2 years of OR experience, prior travel experience, must be capable of scrubbing, and experience in most service lines except cardiac. Must be certified and have certification on file at the time of submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting transplant, trauma/neuro, robotic, hybrid rooms, ambulatory ortho, hepatic-biliary, and burn cases.
• Additional Information: Orientation dates are scheduled for 9/14, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, and 10/26, with no orientation on 9/21 or 10/19. No excessive time off can be approved; time off should be limited. Staff are expected to work 2 out of 3 holidays. The role involves floating between ORs but not locations and supporting a variety of adult case types.
