Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse (MS ONC) This outpatient oncology clinic provides comprehensive radiation therapy care to cancer patients. The role involves patient care, symptom management, and education regarding radiation side effects. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team, supporting a fast-paced environment with technological advancements and a growing service line.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, minimum 1-year current Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) acute care experience, BLS certification, location in the specified area, no minimum experience requirement listed
- Preferred Qualifications: Radiation Oncology experience, prior ARIA experience, ability to address patient symptoms, compassionate personality, adaptable and proactive approach
- Additional Information: This is an outpatient radiation oncology clinic with a team consisting of radiation therapists, nurses, administrators, physicists, and medical doctors. The unit performs patient care, symptom management, and education concerning radiation therapy and its side effects such as skin changes and fatigue. The team is experienced, with upcoming equipment upgrades, and the facility encourages growth and innovation.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
