Description
Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty position is based in a rural hospital setting. The role involves providing comprehensive care across labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care units. Candidates will demonstrate clinical confidence, adaptability, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care within a team-oriented environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications including ACLS, BLS, Fetal Monitoring, and AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate; Valid California State Licensure uploaded within the last 2 weeks; at least 0 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing, with a minimum of 2 years of experience generally preferred; must have current applicable certifications with valid expiration dates
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with community hospital settings, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care; knowledge in fetal monitoring and neonatal assessments
- Additional Information: The role involves assisting with high-risk deliveries, neonatal assessments, postpartum care, and related procedures. Candidates may occasionally help with census-related float duties. Orientation includes 40 hours of training. The assignment runs from 09/28/2026 to 12/28/2026, with a total of approximately 12 shifts per week.
