Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry is sought for a high-acuity, fast-paced unit providing care to acute stroke and complex telemetry patients. The role involves performing neurological assessments including the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale, monitoring telemetry rhythms, administering medications safely, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and care quality. This assignment is located in a 34-bed unit dedicated to evidence-based, protocol-driven care with a focus on rapid intervention and interdisciplinary teamwork.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license verification, healthcare professional certification in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIH Stroke Scale certification, ability to read basic rhythm strips, minimum of 0 years of experience, location requirements as specified
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in high-acuity, medical-surgical, or stroke specialty units; experience with neurological assessments and telemetry monitoring preferred
• Additional Information: Perform and document frequent neurological assessments, monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, ensure compliance with stroke core measures including dysphagia screening and care plans, administer medications using BCMA standards, coordinate care with interdisciplinary team, manage patient admissions, discharges, and flow, maintain a focus on falls prevention, skin integrity, and patient safety
