Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) in a facility setting. This role involves providing specialized obstetric care to new mothers and their infants, including experience in labor, triage, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. The position requires a high level of proficiency in managing LDRP units and supporting expectant families through various stages of maternity care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Nursing, active Michigan (MI) licensure, minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery. Certifications include active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Covid vaccination (exemptions allowed), stable work history in OB/GYN, proficiency in postpartum and neonatal care, and current skills checklist pertinent to OB/GYN.
• Additional Information:
  • The role requires passing a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the unit.
  • The traveler must have their own vehicle and include their perm address in their profile.
  • All requested time off must be noted and verified at the time of submission; requests made after offer or during interview may not be approved and may lead to rescinded offers.
  • Candidates must have completed two supervisory reference forms within the last two years.
  • No scheduled on-call unless requested voluntarily due to low census.
  • The facility serves over 500 families annually and emphasizes caring, compassion, and supporting maternity experiences.
