Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU Neuro) registered nurse position located in Madison, WI. The role involves providing specialized critical care for adult patients with neurological diagnoses such as stroke, cerebral hemorrhage, brain tumor resections, aneurysm clipping, and traumatic brain injury. The nurse will work on an 18-bed Neuroscience ICU certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, with a focus on advanced monitoring and intervention in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 09/14/2026 and ending 03/15/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license (Wisconsin or compact state), BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient RN experience in acute care, experience with Epic charting system, telemetry testing clearance, and basic arrhythmia management skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Neurosurgery experience, neuro critical care background, trauma level II experience, and Certified Neuro ICU (CCNS) or equivalent preferred.
• Additional Information: Candidate must have ICU experience handling arterial lines, ICP and ventriculostomy management, external ventricular drains, lumbar drains, hemodynamic monitoring, and neurological assessments. Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, physical therapy, radiology, and pharmacy. The unit requires float as needed, with a local rule of 50 miles from the facility.
