Description
Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care at a medical center. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for neuro, trauma, and medical ICU patients, with a focus on critical patient needs in an acuity-adaptable environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, and 3 to 5 years of critical care experience. Must pass a facility test with a score of 90% in cardiac rhythm knowledge.
- Preferred Qualifications: Step down, progressive care, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Care Advanced Registered Nurse (TCAR) certification.
- Additional Information: The unit is acuity adaptable, serving neuro, trauma, and medical ICU patients, along with step down and overflow medical patients. Candidates should demonstrate a hard-working, punctual, reliable, and outgoing personality. Proper scrubs in navy blue are required, with no sweatshirts or facial piercings that cannot be concealed. Multiple computer-based training modules will need to be completed prior to the first day.
