Description

Job Summary:
A Pediatric Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position is available in a pediatric healthcare facility. Located at the Anschutz Medical Campus, this role involves providing specialized nursing care to pediatric cardiac patients, including those with ventricular assist devices and single ventricle heart conditions. The assignment is scheduled for 13 weeks, starting on 11/03/2026 and concluding on 02/06/2027, with a focus on night shift hours.

Job Details:

  • Position Title: RN CPCU Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (Pediatric Cardiac Experience Required)
  • Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6:45 PM 7:15 AM)
  • Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week
  • Location: Anschutz Medical Campus
  • Unit: CPCU, a 34-bed unit with private rooms, caring for pediatric cardiac patients
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), a minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Progressive Care or Cardiac Step-Down experience, at least 1 year of inpatient pediatric cardiology experience in ICU or Intermediate Care, strong knowledge of pediatric three-stage single ventricle care, and experience caring for pediatric cardiology patients including single ventricle heart transplant and ventricular assist devices (VAD).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Pediatric VAD patients and teaching hospital experience.
  • Travel Required: Yes
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: No request for planned time off during the first two weeks of the assignment; a maximum of 5 days RTO permitted during the 13-week term. Candidates must work two major holidays and one minor holiday. Seasonal influenza vaccination policy is in effect, with medical and religious exemptions accepted for the 2026-2027 influenza season, provided exemption request forms are submitted.
