Description

Job Summary:
L&D Post Partum Floor Nurse for a healthcare provider in South Carolina. This role involves delivering patient-centered nursing care in the labor and delivery, as well as postpartum units, aligned with established standards and practices. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for obstetric patients, interacting regularly with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights working every other weekend, holidays as needed, with floating to other facilities as required. Shift hours are 12-hour nights, with an expectation of at least 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State and is not a permanent resident of SC. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card. All WIC service Registered Nurses are required to attain Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire and maintain this certification current. Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing. Experience in Mother-Baby Couplet Care for at least 1 year.
  • Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree is highly desired and preferred.
  • Additional Information: The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting, including moving patients and handling equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Candidates will be exposed to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials, requiring adherence to safety protocols. The position may include work under stressful conditions, facing deadlines, and working irregular hours, including call, weekends, and holidays.
