Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Asheville, NC, on the 8th floor of a general surgery unit. This role involves managing a patient load within a fast-paced, energetic environment, with a focus on telemetry competency, urology, and bowel experience. The position requires the ability to handle 6 to 7 patients depending on shift and provides an excellent opportunity to work with a skilled team in a busy hospital setting.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Must have current BLS (Basic Life Support) and telemetry certifications, must be able to manage 6-7 patients depending on shift, possess urology and bowel experience, and meet the following criteria: no minimum experience requirement, located within the designated area.
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with tele-metry competency, urology, and bowel experience are prioritized.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit is equipped with telemetry monitors and specialized equipment such as PCA, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, TPN, tube feeds, and urinary catheters. Staff are expected to maintain effective communication with charge nurses, providers, and team members. The position involves adhering to hospital policies and dress code, which includes navy blue scrubs or white undershirts.
