Description

Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurses are needed for a healthcare facility located in Dallas, Texas. This position involves providing specialized care to premature and neonatal patients, including those with complex respiratory needs, central lines, and surgical conditions. The assignment offers an opportunity to work with advanced technology and a highly experienced team on a rotating night shift schedule.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 09/15/2026 to 12/15/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); minimum of one year of level III neonatology experience; must have experience with preemies (at least 28 weeks and above), management of central lines, respiratory management including intubated patients; experience with surgical patients, cardiac patients, care of infants with tracheostomies, and Broviacs.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with patients 2 years and older, familiarity with unit-specific procedures such as central line insertions, circumcisions, gastroschisis reductions, and PDA ligations.
  • Additional Information: Candidate should be adaptable to float before staff, with experience working in NICU settings that utilize Nasal Cannula, Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), vents, oscillators, IV pumps, Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS), warmers, and isolettes. Schedule includes rotating weekends and holidays, with unit-specific policies and guidelines to be attached. Opportunities to work with new equipment and technology, with a team of experienced staff.
