Description

Job Summary:

Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) position in Walla Walla. This role requires an experienced RN with hospice case management background to oversee a patient caseload, perform various nursing service levels, and ensure timely documentation. The ideal candidate must hold active licenses in Washington and preferably Oregon, with a reliable vehicle and comprehensive immunization records.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid active license in Washington or within a Compact agreement, RN license in Oregon (preferred, not required at submission), active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, reliable auto insurance, current immunization records for Influenza, TB, and Covid, valid drivers license, and a clean background check in Washington and Oregon. A minimum of 1 year hospice case management experience is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Acute/Medical Surgical experience
  • Additional Information: The nurse will manage a caseload of approximately 15 patients, performing routine, GIP, continuous, and respite visits. Responsibilities include admission, SIA, and death visits, with charting completed on the same day. Flexibility to float to Oregon sites is encouraged, with Oregon RN licensure application required upon contract acceptance. Submission of two supervisory references from the past two years and a Skills Checklist specific to Hospice are required.
