Job Summary
Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a healthcare facility in a medical environment dedicated to serving complex patient populations. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients with conditions such as LVAD, cerebrovascular accidents, acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, wounds, chronic respiratory conditions, and ventilation requirements. The position is located in a long-term acute care setting, emphasizing patient stabilization and complex treatment management, with a focus on respiratory and ventilated patients.

Job Details

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Every other weekend work is required.
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 09/21/2026
• End Date: 12/19/2026
• Qualifications: Two or more years of RN experience, with a focus on respiratory and vented patients strongly preferred. Must have prior travel experience. CPR certification (BLS) is required, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
• Responsibilities: Responsible for IV starts, medication administration, blood transfusions, EKGs, medication titrations, glucose monitoring, wound vac changes, wound dressings, trach care, suctioning, straight catheters, Foley care, port access, central line dressings, and wound measurements. Nurses do not manage ventilators, as RTs handle ventilation.
• Float: No float requirements.
• Additional Information: Orientation occurs every Monday, with profiles needing to be complete and accurate. Prior experience with respiratory/vented patients should be highlighted.
