Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position in a hospital setting. This role involves providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, performing comprehensive assessments, and supporting clinical operations in a high acuity step-down unit. The position requires specialized skills in emergency equipment operation, patient assessment, and documentation, with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred; ICU Nursing experience; valid RN license; BLS certification; ACLS certification; 1 year ICU experience minimum
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in high acuity settings and familiarity with surgical patient care; proficiency with emergency equipment; strong documentation skills; knowledge of patient education, safety protocols, and pre-admission testing procedures
• Additional Information: This is a high acuity step-down ICU environment. The role supports pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments and education, ensuring safety protocols are followed, including universal protocols and patient identifiers. The candidate will be involved in patient testing, evaluating pre-admission testing orders for accuracy and completeness, and providing individualized patient care based on diagnoses and procedural requirements.
