Description
Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Trauma Nurse position in an academic medical center located in Wisconsin. This role involves providing critical care to adult patients in a Level One Trauma Center, utilizing advanced life support therapies and participating in cutting-edge research studies to improve patient outcomes. The position is designed for experienced nurses committed to compassionate, teamwork-driven care.
Job Details:
- Location: Wisconsin Madison, WI
- Position Description: Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts between the hours of 7:00 am and 11:30 pm, including every other weekend rotation and some holidays.
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of ICU experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, Epic electronic health record system proficiency, WI RN or compact RN license, pass Telemetry test prior to start.
- Preferred Qualifications: Critical care, trauma, or surgical ICU experience; experience with arterial line management, airway management, ICU procedures, and use of advanced life support therapies such as ECMO and continuous dialysis.
- Schedule: Shift Time: Days, Shift Hours: 12, Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.
- Additional Information: Must pass a strict telemetry test with adult and pediatric components, with up to two attempts; experience in managing ventilated patients, central lines, and high-acuity care environments is preferred.
