Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) specialty position located in a healthcare facility. This role involves assisting the surgical team during operative procedures, primarily focusing on the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field for patients undergoing open heart surgeries. The position requires technical expertise in assisting with complex cardiac procedures and maintaining aseptic techniques.
Job Details
- Schedule: Shift hours are 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The position begins on 09/21/2026 and ends on 12/21/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience with cardiovascular (CV) procedures, current certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), and active Washington State license (ETA 6 weeks). No local candidate restriction; travel required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong expertise in neuro, ortho, general surgery, or cardiac procedures, with experience assisting in complex cardiac surgeries such as open-heart procedures.
- Additional Information: The role involves assisting in specialized cardiac surgeries, sterilization and disinfection of instrumentation, maintaining sterile environment, and room turnover. Night shift team lead scrub techs may be present. Candidate must be willing to float as needed within the health system.
