Description
Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart specialty position available in a healthcare facility. The role involves assisting the surgical team during operative procedures, primarily focusing on open heart surgeries. The position requires technical proficiency in sterile techniques and support in patient preparation and instrument sterilization, with orientation held weekly on Mondays.
Job Details
- Schedule: 10-hour days shifts, 40 hours per week, starting on 10/26/2026 and ending on 01/25/2027
- Required Qualifications: Three (3) years of experience including cardiovascular (CV) procedures; certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Certified Surgical Technologist (CST); Washington license in process (ETA 6 weeks)
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong experience in ortho, neuro, or gyn procedures, with a particular emphasis on cardiac experience
- Call Requirements: Willingness to take call for the cardiac unit, including one weekend and 3-4 weekdays per month
- Additional Information: Assistance in instrumentation sterilization, maintaining sterile environment, and supporting patient movement. Prior experience with complex cardiac surgeries and familiarity with digital imaging and preference lists are desirable. Candidates must demonstrate ability to adhere to aseptic protocol and safety initiatives.
