Description
Job Summary:
Surgical Technician (OR Technician) position located in Milwaukee. This role involves supporting the operating room team with instrument preparation, assisting during surgical procedures, and ensuring optimal patient care. The assignment offers a dynamic environment with diverse surgical cases, including trauma and specialty surgeries, requiring flexibility and strong clinical skills.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days between the hours of 0650-1720, with a guarantee of 40 hours per week, except during holidays and orientation weeks.
- Required Qualifications: High School Diploma, 0 years of experience, certification as a Surgical Technician (CST preferred but not required), American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification, and must have strong skills in CVOR, general, and ENT surgeries.
- Preferred Qualifications: Associate Degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology, 3-5 years hospital experience, PEDS experience preferred.
- Additional Information: This position will support multiple surgical specialties, including ENT, urology, neuro, craniofacial, plastics, and trauma cases. The candidate may be required to precept during the assignment. Holiday coverage, occasional in-house on-call, and support for trauma cases are expected. The unit has 17 beds and multiple specialized procedure rooms. Scrub colors will be provided, and minimal body piercings are permitted, with jewelry restrictions. The start date is 08/24/2026, with an end date of 11/21/2026, and a minimum of 40 hours per week is guaranteed.
