Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nursing position in Denver, CO. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient stabilization, procedures such as EKGs, IV insertions, medication administration, conscious sedation, and wound care. The position requires flexibility to work night shifts, with a focus on delivering compassionate, efficient, and team-oriented patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS, ACLS, ENPC, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, and CPI (can be given 30 days grace). Must have 1-year minimum of current acute care Emergency Department RN experience. Location requirements apply.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ER charge RN experience, willingness to float between ER departments.
  • Additional Information: The unit has 11 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4. Equipment includes GE monitors and Baxter pumps. EMR system used is Meditech. Typical procedures include EKGs, IVs, medication administration, conscious sedation, and wound care. The team comprises 2 RNs on day shift, 1 paramedic on mid-shift, 2 RNs on night shift, along with a MD, radiology tech, and a security guard.
