Description

Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in an unspecified location. This position involves working night shifts, with a focus on providing specialized critical care to patients requiring intensive monitoring and support. The role requires adaptability, reliability, and compliance with agency and facility policies, including holiday and weekend coverage.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, at least 2 years of ICU experience within the past three years, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or MAB certification, ability to read telemetry strips, and willingness to work upcoming holidays, weekends, and flexible schedule.
  • Must be willing to work during upcoming holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.
  • Candidates will be tested pre-orientation on arrhythmia recognition, moderate sedation, and heparin distribution; failure to pass will result in contract cancellation.
  • Travel experience is required; previous travel nursing experience is a must.
  • Compliance clearance is required 10 days prior to orientation.
  • Orientation will cover specialties including Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Forensics (Medical-Surgical-Telemetry), ICU, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Postpartum, and Labor & Delivery.
  • Charge nurse or preceptor may be required and will be reflected on the candidates timesheet.
  • Floating within scope of practice may be required.
  • Contract can be canceled for one shift every four weeks during the assignment.
