Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse - High Acuity Obstetric Care Location unspecified. This role involves providing specialized postpartum and labor care within a high-volume, high-census healthcare facility. The position requires experience in high-risk obstetric care and the ability to manage a diverse patient population, including postpartum treatment following delivery and high acuity obstetric procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, starting 09/21/2026 and ending 03/22/2027.
- Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in high-acuity postpartum or obstetric care, valid state license with a compact license in hand at submission, certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, EPIC electronic health records, postpartum hemorrhage management, and substance withdrawal protocols.
- Float: Float rotation may be required at designated campuses.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have recent experience managing high-risk obstetric patients, including magnesium administration, Pitocin, Foley catheter placement, postpartum hemorrhage management, and care for multiple post-delivery couples (4 couplets standard). Candidates should be flexible to work 3 of the 5 major holidays and must request all RTO or specific scheduling requests upfront during submittal.
