Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position available in a general healthcare setting. This role involves providing specialized nursing care during surgical procedures across a variety of service lines including orthopedics, general surgery, robotics, organ transplants, ENT, vascular, thoracic, urology, and pediatric cases. The schedule is rotating, with shifts alternating between days and nights, including weekend, holiday, and on-call responsibilities.

Job Details

• Shift Hours: 8/12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, including days and nights.
• Schedule: Dayshift 2x8's (0700-1530), 2x12's (0700-1930); no fixed schedule, rotating to nights. Days are very flexible.
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (must be American Heart Association certified); two years of experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma; travel experience with at least 1-2 previous assignments; team self-schedules for shift and call; weekend requirement of 2-3 shifts per 6-week period; call shifts averaging 4 hours, with 3-4 weekday and weekend shifts; holiday and night rotation as needed; Epic electronic medical record (EMR) access; 70-85 cases per day; experience with urgent and scheduled cases, including trauma; pediatric and neonatal experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma experience; pediatric/neonatal experience; exposure to a variety of surgical cases including orthopedic, organ transplant, ENT, vascular, thoracic, and urology.
• Additional Information: The OR runs 24/7/365, covering service lines such as orthopedics including total joints, adult and pediatric general surgeries, robotics, organ transplants, ENT, oral/maxillofacial, vascular/thoracic, urology, and pediatrics. The unit may require float to other ORs and Woodburn based on census needs. On-call shifts are approximately 4 hours, 3-4 times a week. The position involves urgent and scheduled surgeries, with case volumes between 70-85 cases daily.
