Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse Night Shift Location
This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the Intermediate Care Unit, focusing on patients with moderate illness severity, including neuro patients, stroke patients, and those with cardiac or medical-surgical needs. The role requires prior travel experience in similar settings and involves working night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week starting October 5, 2026, with an expected end date of February 20, 2027.

Job Details

  • Position Description: 12-hour night shifts, with orientation occurring every other Monday, starting 10/5. The role involves patient care for a diverse mix including neuro, CVA, cardiac, and medical-surgical patients at an intermediate acuity level.
  • Required Qualifications: Active VA or Compact License, 2 years of recent experience in IMCU or similar setting, minimum of 1 year of travel experience in comparable roles, and MPH Master of Public Health or equivalent education preferred.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Charge experience, Cerner Electronic Health Record familiarity, experience working with students and new hires.
  • Additional Information: The unit aims to maintain staffing flexibility with up to 20-week assignments. Travelers are expected to work at least one major holiday and adhere to orientation schedules. All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application.
