Job Summary
Medical Surgical Neurology Nurse (MS NEURO) Neenah, WI. The healthcare provider is seeking a qualified RN with experience in intermediate care or ICU to join a 16-bed neurology unit. The position involves caring for stroke, post-operative brain/spine surgeries, and trauma patients, primarily working 12-hour day shifts.

Job Details

• Certifications required: WI RN (or compact) license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Education required: Associate Degree or Certificate.
• Experience required: Minimum of 3+ years as an RN and 1 travel contract previously. Experience in ICU or Intermediate Care (IMC) and charting with EPIC within the last year are strongly preferred.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours, 0530-1800, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Candidate should have experience in stroke, post-op back/spine/cervical procedures. Resilient, adaptable, and social candidates preferred. Previous travel experience required.
• Unit Overview: 16-bed neurology unit caring for stroke, trauma, post-operative spine and brain surgery patients, with some medical patients as well.
• Patient Ratios: 1:4, with shifts staffed by 4-5 RNs and 2 patient care technicians.
• Holiday rotation as needed.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within facility and across ThedaCare facilities within a 60-mile radius.
• Charting Experience: EPIC system preferred within the last year.
• Start Date: 09/08/2026.
• End Date: 12/05/2026.
• Previous travel experience is required.
