Description

Job Summary
ORT (Operating Room Technician) Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech located at the healthcare facility. This position involves supporting surgical teams within the operating room, including decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and handling of sterile equipment in a trauma-level acute care setting.

Job Details

Certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) required.
Education/Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a sterile processing technician or surgical technician required.
Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), CRCST or CBSPD, Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) via HSPA.
Schedule: Night shift, from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Tuesday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Additional Information: Shifts are from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM on two days and Friday-Sunday from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Orientation will occur during the first week, including 1-2 preceptor shifts. The position involves no floating outside of the unit unless there is an extreme need within Zone 3. The role does not include call, weekend, or holiday requirements. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts within a 13-week assignment.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to submit a valid driver's license and do not need to submit an BSN or license at this time.
Clinical setting: Acute care division, trauma level 1.
