Description

Job Summary
The healthcare provider is seeking a qualified professional for a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) position in a Level I Trauma hospital. This role involves working in a fast-paced, interventional cardiology environment, primarily performing vascular and cardiac procedures, including TAVR, MitraClip, IABP, and Emtala placement. The position requires a strong background in acute care and trauma settings to ensure high-quality patient care.

Job Details

  • Position Description:
    Responsible for circulating during interventional and diagnostic cardiac and vascular procedures, including EP and hybrid cases. Requires completion of simulations for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes, with specific focus on sterile technique and wound care.
  • Required Qualifications:
    Az license, BLS and ACLS certifications, with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory setting.
  • Schedule:
    12-hour shifts from 6 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday, plus call. Call shifts are varied, with 6 to 10 shifts per schedule and a 30-minute response time required.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience with Phillips and Siemens equipment, working in a Level I Trauma environment, and familiarity with interventional cardiology procedures such as TAVR, MitraClip, and IABP.
  • Additional Information:
    Must pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed, passing score of 80%) before contract approval. Successful completion of skills labs and medical procedures is mandatory. The role includes rotating weekend work and holiday coverage, with specific on-the-job orientation provided over two days. Emergency and pharmacy support available 24/7.
