Description

Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Registered Nurse (RN) [Location]. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a busy interventional cardiac catheterization lab within a Level I trauma center. It requires clinical expertise in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, procedural sedation, and dysrhythmia management.

Job Details

  • Position/ Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab RN, Days shift, 4x12 or 3x12 hours (0630-1900), minimum 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois nursing license, ACLS certification, BLS certification, minimum 1 year experience in cardiac cath lab procedures including adult diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, procedural sedation monitoring, and dysrhythmia management.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Cerner charting system experience, prior experience in a Level I trauma center or community hospital environment, ability to float within scope if needed.
  • Responsibilities: Circulate procedures, monitor adult patients undergoing Left heart catheterization, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Right heart catheterization, and administer procedural sedation. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required.
  • Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, 48 hours weekly
  • Open to accommodating block schedule: Discuss schedule requests with manager
  • Additional Information: Must have active IL license in hand, be prepared for on-call as needed, and may work 2-3 weekends per contract. RTO restrictions of no more than 5 days preferred; candidate must work 2 of the 3 major holidays.
