Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Deaconess Midtown. This position involves providing emergency care in a Level II Trauma facility, primarily working 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. shifts, with a rotating schedule. The role requires a skilled nurse capable of managing high-pressure situations and working independently within a busy emergency department.

Job Details

  • Position Description: ER RN - Variables. The assignment is for 13 weeks with an expected start date of 09/14/2026. The schedule includes 8- and 12-hour shifts, primarily 3 p.m. to 3 a.m., with guaranteed hours of 36 per week, up to 40.
  • Required Qualifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Life Support (PALS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications. Indiana or Compact State License. Minimum of 3+ years of ER experience required. Associate Degree or Certificate in nursing.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree. Pediatric experience is preferred.
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, primarily 3 p.m. to 3 a.m., with at least 36 hours guaranteed per week.
  • Additional Information: Must pass a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG) and dysrhythmia exam. Experience with Epic charting system (within the past year) and ability to complete a checkoff class required. The facility handles Level II Trauma cases, and pediatric experience is advantageous. No float rotation specified.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must be available for interview Monday through Friday; shifts include every other weekend and holiday rotation.
