Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse Location unspecified. This role involves providing comprehensive care to obstetric patients and newborns in a critical access hospital setting. The position requires versatility in managing triage, labor, recovery, postpartum, and neonatal care, utilizing Epic electronic health record systems, with expectations of float between units and participation in holiday coverage.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license preferred), at least 1 year of clinical experience in labor and delivery, certification in BLS, NRP, and CLC.*
• Preferred Qualifications: Experienced in triaging obstetrical patients, charting with Epic, and handling neonatal and postpartum care.
• Responsibilities: Triage obstetrical patients, manage labor and delivery, provide postpartum care, neonatal care, and assist with surgeries such as C-sections. May answer phones, start IVs, and provide skilled coverage across all areas of obstetrics as needed.
• Additional Information: This position involves occasional float to other units for skill coverage, answering phones, IV starts, and assisting with clinical functions without patient assignments outside obstetrics. Candidates must work at least one winter holiday and three out of five specified holidays per contract, with all scheduling requests to be submitted upfront.
