Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized care to female patients during labor, delivery, and post-delivery phases within a healthcare facility. The role requires managing a patient population that includes pregnant women, with duties ranging from admissions and transfers to delivering both vaginal and cesarean births.

Job Details

  • Position: Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN)
  • Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district, at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) certification. Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system experience is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and Cerner documentation.
  • Responsibilities: Manage admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and delivery processes, including vaginal and cesarean births. Utilize fetal monitors and documentation systems such as Fetalink.
  • Additional Information: Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility. Covering patient care for females of childbearing potential, pregnant women (17 weeks gestation and beyond), and handling triage issues and scheduled procedures such as cesarean sections, external cephalic versions, and cerclage procedures. Active involvement in clinical documentation and monitoring fetal activity with appropriate equipment.
