Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a cardiac-focused stepdown unit. The RN will work during night shifts, delivering specialized cardiac and pulmonary care to patients with conditions such as CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery needs, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
Job Details
- Position Description: Must live 50 miles away. The role is based in a 48-bed cardiac focused stepdown unit, with additional pulmonary and cardiac surgery beds. Frequent IV drips include Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, and Bumex. Common diagnoses involve CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS and ACLS. Education requires graduation from an accredited or NLN-approved RN program, with a BSN highly desired. Must have a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district. Experience requirements include 2 years of RN experience and at least 2 years of cardiac tele experience. Cerner experience is required.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The position starts on 09/21/2026 and ends on 12/19/2026. An RN with current licensure, relevant cardiac telemetry experience, and certification will be considered.
