Job Summary
Telemetry Nurse, Night Shift This position is based in a 29-bed acute care unit specializing in cardiac medical and surgical patients. The role involves providing advanced nursing care for post-procedural and post-surgical cardiac patients, including managing medication drips, interpreting telemetry strips, and ensuring patient safety during high-acuity care.

Job Details

• Certifications Required: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association); minimum two years of recent RN experience in a busy hospital environment, with specific experience in post-cath lab patients, managing TR band compression devices, chest pain, and post-cardiac surgery patients.
• Location Requirements: Candidates must reside within 80 miles of the facility.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, 48 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Monitor and manage post procedural cardiac patients, titrate medications including Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Bumex, Dobutamine; interpret telemetry strips; collaborate with 24/7 central telemetry staff; lead patient care activities including management of chest pain and post cardiac surgical care.
• Additional Information: RN's are required to read their own telemetry strips, and floating to other units may be needed based on census. The unit follows a team approach with RT assistance and specific dress and scrub code policies.
• Submission Requirements: Must have a valid license to submit and adhere to onboarding procedures, including specific unit orientation.
