Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse - Location unspecified. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 3 NICU or higher, with a focus on critically ill newborns such as micro preemies, preemie growers, and patients with congenital or surgical conditions. The position supports a rotating shift schedule primarily during night hours, with potential weekend and holiday shifts.

Job Details

• Required Certifications: BLS Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); ACLS and PALS are preferred.
• Education Requirements: Registered Nurse (RN) license; minimum experience of 2 years in a Level 3 NICU or higher; EPIC electronic medical record system experience preferred.
• Location Requirements: Must hold a valid RN license and be willing to wait for licensure submission if necessary.
• Years of Experience: 0 years minimum required; typically 2+ years of NICU experience preferred.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating schedule, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/07/2026 with an end date of 12/07/2026.
• Additional information: Need is primarily for night shifts; possible float to PICU, Inpatient Pediatrics, and Labor & Delivery units.
• Responsibilities include assessment of neonates, IV placement, medication administration, feeding, and vent/CPAP care.
• Common titratable drips include Dopamine, Dobutamine, Prostaglandins, Insulin, and Sedation.
• Unit features include NICU registered nurses with 2+ years experience, a neonatologist on-site 24/7, respiratory therapy equipment, and in-unit nurse aids with a 2:1 ratio per shift.
• The unit may require float shifts, with an orientation provided by NICU clinical preceptors.
