Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care to neonates, including assessment, medication administration, and ventilator management, primarily during night shifts. The position offers an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: NICU Registered Nurse with 2+ years of experience in a Level 3 NICU or higher. Responsibilities include assessment of neonates, IV and medication administration, feeding, and ventilator and CPAP care. Experience with EPIC electronic charting system preferred.
- Certifications & Education: BLS Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Required Qualifications: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN with minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 3 NICU or higher. Current BLS and NRP certifications. Willingness to wait for license submission.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: May be floated to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Inpatient Pediatrics, and Labor & Delivery. Flexibility for weekend, holiday, and potentially holiday coverage requested. Main need is for night shifts; placement in stepdown units if limited vent/CPAP experience is available.
