Job Details

• Position Description: This role is within a 40-bed inpatient post-surgical care unit that offers a continuum of care for adult and geriatric patients pre- and post-surgery.
• Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) License, Basic Life Support (AHA or ARC), minimum of 2+ years of Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience, recent hospital experience, Trauma Level II experience, Epic charting experience.
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., guaranteed 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The unit experiences high admission volumes, with 10-15 patients admitted daily and an occupancy rate of 90-95%. The RN must efficiently multitask and prioritize based on acuity. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:4 or 1:5 during day shifts and 1:5 to 1:7 during night shifts. Scrub color is flexible. During flu season, vaccinated travelers who decline COVID-19 vaccination are required to wear masks at all times.
