Description

Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Carlsbad, New Mexico. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care within a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department. The RN will be responsible for delivering expert patient care, utilizing critical thinking skills, and ensuring safety and compliance standards are met in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

  • Shift Time: Nights, 6:30pm-7:00am, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active nursing license, minimum of 2 years of ER experience, ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications, with NRP preferred, and current ability to work in New Mexico.
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The RN must demonstrate competency in clinical practices including thorough patient assessments, medication administration, infection control, and safety standards. Floating within scope is required, primarily to ICU areas if needed. Scrub color is not mandated; full uniform is required. The Electronic Medical Record system used is MedHost (EDIS). Candidates must be registered with the state of New Mexico for fingerprinting, which can take several weeks. RTO (Request for Time Off) must adhere to blackout dates, with a maximum of one RTO per scheduled period, and schedules are built six weeks in advance.
